Lost Hills

Lost Hills is a late-flowering female pistachio cultivar originating from the crossing of two Pistacia vera parents. Lost Hills trees have an upright growth habit (slightly less upright than Golden Hills), are vigorous and their bark colour is similar to Kerman. Its open fruit rate is greater than and its average yields are similar to Kerman, with a negligible tendency to alternate bearing. Flowering and harvest dates are ahead of Kerman. In addition, its requires less chill hours than Kerman. Fruit size is significantly larger than Kerman. The pollinator used for the Lost Hills variety is Randy.
